Helen, Georgia

It's the charm of Bavaria, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Helen is a small town in North Ga with a population of about 400 residents. In the 2.1 square miles of this charming town, it definately holds alot of charm. What was originally a logging town, started to decline in the 1960. With lots of planning and help, the city resurrected itself in 1969 by becoming a replica of a Bavarian Alpine town, in the Appalachians instead of the Alps. With careful planning and zoning, every building must adhere to the classic south-German style charm this town was carefully planned to replicate.

You will find quaint hotels, cobblestone walkways, Alpine food and drinks that will invite you to loose yourself here while surrounded by the natural beauty, wineries, breweries, artisan tours, festivals and so much more.

Every year Helen host Octoberfest and the Race to the Atlantic Hot Air Balloon.
